Product Details: Brand: Sika | Product Type: Fibre-Reinforced Roof Repair Compound | Size: 5kg | Colour: White | Product Code: EVCWE5 | SKU: 484640 | MPN: 851555 | Barcode: 5029347600686

Quick Product Summary: Sika Evercryl White 5kg is a larger fibre-reinforced instant roof repair compound for light-coloured waterproofing repairs, visible white patching, gutters, flashings, vents, upstands and broader local roof maintenance.

Sika Evercryl White 5kg is a ready-to-use resin-based roof repair compound for larger light-coloured roof repairs where a white visible finish is preferred. It suits planned patching work on lighter roof areas, gutters, flashings and roof details where black or grey repair coatings would stand out too strongly.

The white 5kg version gives this range a different use case from Black, Grey and Clear. It is best where a dark or grey repair would look too obvious and a lighter visible repair finish is needed. Compared with the smaller tins, the 5kg size is better for larger light-coloured repair areas or several roof details on the same job.

Best For Larger White And Light-Coloured Roof Repairs

Choose White 5kg where the repair area needs to stay visually lighter after coating. It is useful for larger white or pale roof details, exposed patch repairs, gutter edges, flashings and maintenance areas where a dark repair would look too heavy.

  • Larger white or light-coloured roof patch repairs.
  • Cracks, gaps and weak areas on suitable prepared roof surfaces.
  • Gutters, downpipes, gullies and roofline details.
  • Flashings, upstands, vents and leadwork.
  • Several repair points where a white finish is preferred.
  • Wet weather repair work where immediate waterproofing is needed.

Why Choose The 5kg White Version

The 5kg size is useful when there is too much work for a small tin but the repair still needs a clean white finish. It is the best colour choice in this range for light repair areas where black or grey would create a heavy visible patch.

Choose White for lighter visible repairs. Choose Black for dark felt and bitumen roofs, Grey for neutral visible patching, or Clear where a translucent finish is needed and fibre reinforcement is not required.

Key Benefits

  • White Fibre-Reinforced Repair: Helps bridge small cracks and strengthen local roof repair areas.
  • Instant Waterproofing: Designed to provide immediate water protection after application.
  • Wet Or Dry Use: Can be applied in damp, wet and suitable frosty conditions.
  • 5kg Larger Tin: Better for broader light-coloured repairs and multiple roof defects.
  • Light Visible Finish: Useful where black or grey repairs would look too obvious.
  • Brush Applied: Designed for straightforward application after preparation.
  • Flexible Membrane: Dries to a seamless flexible waterproof coating.
  • Multi-Surface Use: Suitable for many common prepared roof and building materials.

Where It Can Be Used

Sika Evercryl White can be used for general sealing, repair, maintenance and waterproofing of many common roof surfaces in wet or dry conditions. It is suitable for local repairs on concrete, fibre cement, roofing felt, mastic asphalt, existing bituminous roof coatings, rigid uPVC, corrugated iron, metals, slates, brickwork, tiles, lead, copper and zinc.

  • White or light-coloured visible roof repair areas.
  • Small-to-medium roof leaks and waterproofing defects.
  • Guttering, downpipes and gully repairs.
  • Flashings, upstands, vents and leadwork.
  • Metal, slate, tile, concrete and prepared roof details.
  • Larger local repairs where 1kg or 2.5kg may be too small.

How To Apply

Always read the current Sika product data sheet and safety data sheet before use. The roof should be checked first, because no coating product should be relied on to repair a roof that is not structurally sound or stable.

  • Inspect the roof: Replace or refix broken, slipped, cracked or missing tiles, slates, sheets or roof coverings before applying the compound.
  • Prepare the surface: Remove loose debris, dirt, dust, grease, algae, fungal growth and unstable material from the repair area.
  • Prime where needed: Sound non-porous surfaces may not need primer, but porous, friable or difficult surfaces should be primed with a compatible bitumen and flashing primer.
  • Stir before use: Stir the product well before applying.
  • Apply by brush: Apply the white Evercryl with a brush, working it into cracks, gaps and surrounding repair areas.
  • Use one coat where suitable: Evercryl is designed as a one-coat repair compound, but extreme cases may need a second coat after the first coat has dried sufficiently.
  • Allow to cure: The coating is instantly waterproof when applied, but full drying depends on temperature, coating thickness and site conditions.

Choosing White 5kg

White 5kg is best for larger waterproofing repairs where the finished repair needs to stay lighter in appearance. It gives a different finish choice from Black and Grey, while still providing fibre-reinforced roof repair support.

  • Choose White 5kg: For larger light-coloured or white visible repair areas.
  • Choose Black 5kg: For dark felt, bitumen and black roof details.
  • Choose Grey 5kg: For neutral visible grey patch repairs.
  • Choose Clear 5kg: For translucent repairs where fibre reinforcement is not required.

Technical Notes

  • White fibre-reinforced instant roof repair compound.
  • 5kg larger repair tin.
  • Brush-applied resin-based roof repair coating.
  • Can be used in wet or dry conditions where the surface is suitable.
  • May be applied in frosty conditions down to -5°C.
  • Approximate yield: 950g to 1.9kg per m², depending on surface condition and application thickness.
  • Drying time: around 6 to 7 days, depending on temperature and coating thickness.
  • Service temperature: -25°C to +100°C.
  • Do not coat roof lights, windows, glass or translucent sheets.

Important: Tins can become dented in transit. Dented tins are not a reason for return if the product remains usable. Please do not purchase tinned products if cosmetic dents to the tin would be an issue for you.

Safety: Always read the current Sika safety data sheet before use. This product contains flammable solvent, so keep it away from heat, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. Use only with suitable ventilation, avoid breathing vapour, and avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear suitable gloves and work clothing. Keep out of reach of children and prevent release into drains, watercourses or the environment.

Products To Help With Preparation, Use Or Clean-Up

For porous, friable or dusty roof surfaces, use Sika Black Jack 902 Bitumen and Flashing Primer 1L where a compatible primer is required before application.

For filling deeper holes or more defined gaps before coating, Sika Black Jack 903 Bitumen Trowel Mastic 1L may be useful on suitable repair areas.

For handling and clean-up after preparation or application, Sika Everbuild Heavy Duty Textured Wonder Wipes can help remove general grime, dirt and residue from hands, tools and suitable surfaces.
