Quick Product Summary: Sika MultiSeal 100mm x 10m is a narrow lead grey self-adhesive flashing tape for small, neat and controlled sealing work. It is suited to gutter seams, roof edges, pipe details, compact flashing repairs, narrow overlaps and tidy repair strips where a wider tape would be harder to position.
Sika MultiSeal 100mm x 10m is a self-adhesive bituminous flashing tape with an aluminium film face. It is made for sealing and protecting suitable external building details where a smaller strip gives a cleaner and more controlled finish.
The 100mm width is useful for repairs where accuracy matters. It is easier to line up around gutters, small roof edges, roof light edges, pipework, ducting, metal laps and narrow cracks than a wider tape. This makes it a practical choice for tidy local repairs rather than broad roof coverage.
Best For Small Repair Strips
This 100mm roll works best where the repair area is narrow, compact or awkward to reach. It gives enough coverage for many smaller sealing jobs without adding more tape than needed.
- Small gutter seams, joints and repair points.
- Narrow roof edge repairs and small flashing details.
- Compact sealing work around roof lights and skylight edges.
- Pipe, ducting and sheet metal details where the surface is compatible.
- Minor cracks, laps and joins on suitable dry building surfaces.
- Caravan, trailer and container sealing jobs where a narrow tape is easier to control.
Why Choose The 100mm Size
Choose the 100mm roll when the job needs a narrower repair strip. It is the better choice for tight details, smaller edges and cleaner-looking repairs where a wider tape could be bulky or harder to press down properly.
For larger repair zones, broader overlaps or wider roof details, use one of the wider Sika MultiSeal sizes from the side options. The 100mm version is the neat option for smaller repairs, while wider sizes are better for bigger sealing areas.
Key Benefits
- Narrow 100mm Width: Good for small details, seams, edges and controlled repair strips.
- Self-Adhesive Backing: No separate adhesive is normally needed on suitable clean, dry and sound substrates.
- Lead Grey Finish: Gives a lead-look appearance for external flashing repair work.
- Bituminous Sealing Layer: Helps seal suitable joints, cracks, edges and local repair areas.
- Aluminium Film Face: Gives the tape a finished surface and reinforces the strip.
- Useful Around Awkward Details: Easier to handle around gutter joints, pipe edges, roof lights and compact areas.
- External Repair Use: Suitable for outdoor sealing work when correctly applied to compatible surfaces.
- Paintable Surface: The top film can be painted with most conventional water-based paint systems after compatibility testing.
Applying The Tape On Narrow Details
Always read the current Sika product data sheet and safety information before use. The surface must be dry, clean, sound and free from dust, grease, loose coatings and unstable material before the tape is applied.
- Step 1: Check that the 100mm width gives enough coverage for the crack, seam, edge or joint being repaired.
- Step 2: Remove dust, loose material, dirt, oil, grease and unstable coatings from the surface.
- Step 3: Use a scraper, brush, wire brush or vacuum where needed to prepare the area.
- Step 4: Test coated, plastic or unusual surfaces before use to check compatibility.
- Step 5: Cut the tape to length before applying, allowing at least 50mm overlap where separate lengths meet.
- Step 6: Peel back the release film gradually so the narrow strip can be lined up accurately.
- Step 7: Press the tape down firmly from one end to the other, working out trapped air as you go.
- Step 8: Press the edges and overlaps firmly with a suitable roller or tool to improve contact with the surface.
- Step 9: In colder conditions, warm the tape by handling it and warm the substrate with a warm air blower if needed.
When To Pick A Wider Size Instead
This 100mm roll is designed for narrow, localised sealing work. It is not the best option where the repair needs wide surface coverage.
- Use a wider size for broad repairs: Choose 150mm or wider where the repair area needs more coverage in one strip.
- Do not apply to wet or damp surfaces: The substrate must be dry before the tape is applied.
- Do not use on natural stone: Discolouration may occur.
- Do not use for permanent immersion: It is not for areas under water pressure or permanently immersed in water.
- Do not use as a structural repair: Loose, damaged or unstable roof materials should be repaired first.
- Check plastics and coatings first: Compatibility testing is needed because plasticiser migration can affect adhesion or appearance.
- Avoid solvent-based overpainting: Only use compatible water-based paint systems after testing.

Products To Help With Preparation, Use Or Clean-Up
For small repair areas, prepare the surface properly before applying the tape. A brush or scraper can help remove loose material, grit and dust from seams, edges and local repair points. You can browse suitable preparation products in Brooms and Hand Brushes.
For porous masonry, brickwork, concrete or difficult bitumen-based surfaces, a primer may be needed before applying flashing tape. Use Sika Black Jack 902 Bitumen and Flashing Primer 1L where the surface requires priming before tape application.
For clean-up after preparation and handling, Sika Everbuild Heavy Duty Textured Wonder Wipes can help remove general grime, residue and dirt from hands, tools and suitable surfaces.
For wider flashing repairs, choose the 150mm Sika MultiSeal size from the side options where more coverage is needed in one strip.
