Quick Product Summary: Sika Evercryl Grey 1kg is a fibre-reinforced instant roof repair compound for visible grey repairs to small roof leaks, cracks, gutters, flashings, vents, upstands, leadwork and other local waterproofing problem areas.
Sika Evercryl Grey 1kg is a ready-to-use resin-based roof repair compound for small emergency roof repairs and local waterproofing maintenance. It is designed to give instant water protection when applied and can be used in wet or dry conditions where the surface is suitable.
The grey version is fibre reinforced, making it a good choice where the repair needs extra strength, crack bridging and a visible protective coating. This 1kg / 1 litre tin is best suited to small leaks, local cracks, gutter details, flashings, roof penetrations and isolated repair areas rather than full roof coating work.
Best For Visible Grey Roof Repairs
Choose the grey version when the repair area needs a stronger, visible roof repair coating. It is better suited to cracks, gaps and roof defects where fibre reinforcement is useful, especially on small local repair jobs.
- Small roof leaks and local waterproofing defects.
- Cracks, gaps and weak areas on suitable roof surfaces.
- Gutters, downpipes, gullies and roofline details.
- Flashings, upstands, vents and leadwork.
- Small felt, bitumen, metal, slate, tile and concrete roof repairs.
- Emergency wet weather repairs where the surface is suitable.
Why Choose Grey Evercryl
The grey version is the better choice where the repair does not need to be discreet. It leaves a visible grey repair finish and includes fibre reinforcement to help bridge small cracks and strengthen the repair area.
For repairs where the existing surface needs to remain more visible, the Clear / Translucent option may be more suitable. For visible patching, crack repairs and stronger local waterproofing, choose Grey.

How To Apply
Always read the current Sika product data sheet and safety data sheet before use. The roof should be checked first, because no coating product should be relied on to repair a roof that is not structurally sound or stable.
- Inspect the roof: Replace or refix broken, slipped, cracked or missing tiles, slates, sheets or other roof coverings before applying the product.
- Prepare the surface: Remove loose debris, dirt, dust, grease, algae, fungal growth and unstable material from the repair area.
- Prime where needed: Sound non-porous surfaces may not need primer, but porous, friable or difficult surfaces should be primed with a compatible bitumen and flashing primer.
- Stir before use: Stir the product well before applying.
- Apply by brush: Apply the grey Evercryl with a brush, working it into cracks, gaps and the surrounding repair area.
- Use one coat where suitable: Evercryl is designed as a one-coat repair compound, but extreme cases may need a second coat after the first coat has dried sufficiently.
- Allow to cure: The coating is instantly waterproof when applied, but drying and curing times depend on temperature, surface condition and coating thickness.
Choosing Grey Or Clear
This grey version is best for visible waterproof repair work where fibre reinforcement and crack bridging are important. It is a better fit for cracks, gaps, felt repairs, gutter details, flashing edges and small roof patching.
- Choose Grey: For visible roof patch repairs, cracks, gaps, gutters, flashings and reinforced waterproofing work.
- Choose Clear / Translucent: For a more discreet finish where the existing surface needs to remain more visible.
- Use 1kg: For small local repairs and emergency leak work.
- Use larger sizes: For repeated repairs, broader roof sections or trade maintenance jobs.

Products To Help With Preparation, Use Or Clean-Up
For dusty, loose or friable surfaces, prepare the area before applying the roof repair compound. A brush or scraper can help remove loose material, dust and unstable coating from the repair area.
For porous, friable or difficult surfaces, use Sika Black Jack 902 Bitumen and Flashing Primer 1L where a compatible primer is required before application.
For handling and clean-up after preparation or application, Sika Everbuild Heavy Duty Textured Wonder Wipes can help remove general grime, dirt and residue from hands, tools and suitable surfaces.
