Best For Visible Grey Roof Repairs
Choose the grey trade tub when you need a fibre-reinforced, visible repair finish for larger patches, gutters, flashings or multiple repairs. The incorporated fibres help bridge cracks and splits in roofing surfaces.
- Medium to large local roof repairs and trade maintenance work
- Cracks, splits and damaged areas that benefit from fibre reinforcement
- Gutters, flashings, upstands, vents and roofline details
- Suitable roofing substrates including felt, asphalt, concrete and metals
Why Choose Grey Evercryl
Grey Evercryl provides a visible, fibre-reinforced waterproof repair finish. It can be applied in wet or damp conditions and provides instant waterproofing, making it suitable for emergency repairs as well as planned roof maintenance.
Key Benefits
- Fibre reinforced: Incorporated fibres help bridge cracks and splits in roofing surfaces.
- Instant waterproofing: Provides a waterproof repair immediately after application.
- Ready to use: Supplied ready for application by brush without mixing.
- Wet-weather application: Can be applied in damp and wet conditions and at temperatures down to -5°C.
Where It Can Be Used
Suitable for waterproofing and repairing a wide range of common roofing substrates, including concrete, fibre cement, roofing felt, mastic asphalt, existing bituminous coatings, rigid uPVC, metals, slates, brickwork, tiles, lead, copper and zinc. It can also be used around gutters, flashings, upstands and other roof details where a flexible waterproof repair is required.
How To Apply
Always read the current Product Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet before use.
- Inspect the roof: Repair or refix unstable or structural defects before applying the coating.
- Prepare the surface: Remove loose debris, dirt, grease, moss and other contamination. Remove loose or blistered existing coatings.
- Prime where required: Porous or friable surfaces may require a suitable primer in accordance with the Product Data Sheet.
- Stir before use: Mix the product thoroughly before application.
- Apply by brush: Apply one coat at approximately 1-2 litres per m², working the product thoroughly into cracks and across the repair area.
- Second coat if required: In extreme cases, a second coat may be applied 2-3 days after the first.
- Allow to dry: Typical drying time is approximately 6-7 days, depending on temperature and coating thickness.
Choosing Grey Or Clear
Choose Grey where a visible grey, fibre-reinforced waterproof repair finish is suitable. Choose a clear/translucent version where a more discreet finish is required. The 20kg tub is suited to larger repair areas or repeated maintenance work, while smaller pack sizes may be more appropriate for isolated repairs.
